Chinese scientists touring dredging project, bioenergy crop site

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Decatur's Water Production Division has announced they are providing a tour of multiple projects to a Chinese delegation sponsored by the University of Illinois Prairie Research Institute.

Water Production Division officials say the delegation will tour the Lake Decatur dredging project and the Corley Landfill bioenergy crop site.  Officials also say the delegation is made up of Chinese scientists with expertise in air, soil, and water quality.

The tour is scheduled to kick off Wednesday afternoon at the Nelson Park Boat Ramps.
