PANA, Ill. (WAND) – Charges against three people are pending after a police investigation.

After 3 a.m. on July 7, Pana officers say they went to Rosebud Motel Apartments, located at 326 U.S. Highway 52, after someone reported a strange smell. Police discovered nearly 5 ounces of suspected bath salts and just over $8,500 in suspected drug money in apartment No. 7.

Police arrested four people, including 23-year-old Cody Schumacher, 35-year-old Scott Patnode, 29-year-old Holly Baker and 24-year-old Blossom Plumb. Police say Plumb was driving a car that showed up at the residence.

Officers questioned all four people and released them. Formal charges still require lab testing results.

Pending charges against Schumacher, Baker and Patnode include possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
