BEERSHEVA, ISRAEL -- Former Mt. Zion wrestler Bo Schlosser took home two medals at the 20th World Maccabiah Games, his first competing for Team USA.

Schlosser, who has family still in the Decatur area, won the bronze medal in the 143-pound freestyle event and silver medal in Greco-Roman.

The Maccabi Games is for athletes of Jewish heritage and brings teams from all across the world to Israel to compete.

Schlosser transferred to Bettendorf High in Iowa after his sophomore year at Mt. Zion and eventually signed with Iowa State University, though he did not finish there. He now lives in Colorado and is active in the youth wrestling scene.
