Cash stolen in shaved ice stand theft

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) – Officers say someone stole money from a shaved ice store in Springfield.

Two workers at Sno Bizz told police a man in his late 20s approached them Sunday night at about 10 p.m. with a black handgun and demanded money. Police say he took off from the scene with cash.

Sno Bizz is located at 1005 West Laurel St.

 The suspect is described as white, about 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds. Police say he has an orange beard and wore an orange and red plaid shirt, blue jeans and a green Gander Mountain hat. Officers are still searching for this person.
