Group Collects School Supplies for Immigrants, Refugees

Posted: Updated:

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND): A local group is collecting school supplies for refugees, immigrants, and unaccompanied minors.

Three Spinners is a non-profit group in Champaign and Urbana. With the school year right around the corner they're hoping to collect an array of school supplies.

Once collected the supplies will go to students of all ages, K-12, in Champaign and Urbana school districts.

They're asking for several different items. They need notebooks, highlighters and paper, along with bigger ticket items like backpacks and scientific calculators.

You can drop off donations at the Community Resource Center from 11-2 or the School of Social Work from 9-5 throughout the week.
