Two dead after semi crash


CLINTON, Ill. (WAND) - The DeWitt County Sheriff's Department, the DeWitt County Coroner, and the Illinois State Police are investigating a deadly crash that left two people dead.

A car traveling northbound on Route 51 collided with a semi when the semi was on Autumn Road crossing the northbound traffic and heading south on Route 51. 

The DeWitt County Coroner, Randall Rice, says Anthony J. Hable, 57, and his wife Karen S. Hable, 57, of Clinton, Illinois were the occupants of the car and were pronounced dead at the scene right before 6:00 p.m. Saturday.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.
