Crime lab tests show no drugs on offensive cards

TILTON, Ill. (WAND) - Police say offensive cards found in Tilton did not have any traces of drugs on them.

The cards were found in Tilton at the Big R earlier this month. Field tests performed on the cards showed possible traces of meth and ecstasy. Tilton police said that the field tests are not 100 accurate, so they sent the cards off for further testing.

The Illinois State Crime Lab did not find any controlled substances on the cards.

A woman told police she found the card on her windshield and didn't feel well after touching the card. She said she felt dizzy.

Police say they did speak to the person responsible for leaving the cards, but don't plan to press charges since they found no traces of drugs on the cards.
