LOUISVILLE, Ill. (WAND) – Deputies say they found two people dead in a Louisville house.

The discovery happened Wednesday, when Clay County’s state’s attorney says deputies went to the home after a 911 call. They found 61-year-old Mark Lane and 59-year-old Ann VanDyke on the floor and unresponsive.

Clay County law enforcement is investigating the deaths, along with Illinois State Police Zone 7 Investigations and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services. State’s attorney Joel Powless said no information is known about a possible suspect at this time.

The sheriff’s office says anyone with information should call Illinois State Police or the Clay County State’s Attorney’s Office at (618)665-3522.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the deceased in this difficult time,” the state’s attorney says.
