Police: Man shot in Decatur area is 'uncooperative'

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A person shot in Decatur is not cooperating with police, officers say. 

Police told WAND-TV the wounded person is a 47-year-old man. They say he arrived at a hospital in the city for care at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officers claim he was "uncooperative" when officers tried to talk to him. 

He is in stable condition. 

The shooing happened in the 1400 or 1500 block of East William Street.
