Lincoln burial books get resting place


SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - President Abraham Lincoln's burial books finally have a resting place.

The City of Springfield paid to restore the first 2 volumes of Oak Ridge Cemetery Burials.

The first one includes the burials of the President and his son, Willie.

The books will be in the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in a temperature controlled vault.

The second volume is still being restored and lists Mary Todd Lincoln's burial.

It should be done by the end of the year.

Current Conditions
