Innocence Project concerned over Governor's veto

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Innocence Project is concerned about a recent veto.

Governor Bruce Rauner vetoed a bill requiring prosecutors to use a jailhouse informant.

The informant would disclose information about an inmate at least 30 days before a hearing or trial.

The project says this information can help make or break a person's case, because it can inform them of any deals or benefits.
