TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) – Firefighters issued a letter detailing a vote of no-confidence vote in Taylorville’s assistant fire chief.

Mayor Bruce Barry tells WAND-TV he received the notice Thursday regarding Andrew Goodall, who has been involved with the department for years.

Barry stressed he has “all the confidence in the world” in Goodall and plans to meet with him, Chief Mike Crews and the executive board of the firefighter’s union soon, potentially by next week. He says he hopes the sides can come to a resolution.

He says concerns of firefighters will addressed, adding that Goodall has his "full backing".
