NORMAL -- Eastern Illinois and Illinois State will square off Saturday in the 107th edition of the Mid-America Classic.

It's the oldest FCS rivalry in the state, and 14th oldest in the country. The Redbirds won last year's meeting 44-13, and lead the all time series 55-42-9.

The Redbirds are coming off a 46-0 win over St. Xavier in the opener. QB Brady Davis (123 yards passing, touchdown), who transferred from Memphis, was named the MVC Newcomer of the Week

The Panthers dropped their first game 55-20 at Arkansas. Wide receiver Alex Hollins (9 catches, 127 yards 3 touchdowns) nabbed OVC offensive player of the week honors.

Redbirds head coach Brock Spack has experienced the rivalry from both sides - he explains what it's like in the video above.
