Heartland Community College to get nearly $300K in capital funding

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Heartland Community College in Normal is one of many community colleges statewide that are receiving capital funding.

Millions have been released to colleges.

Normal will get $275,000 in state and local funding to help with campus repairs.

"These funds are needed in order for HCC to move forward with much needed repairs and updates," said Sen. Jason Barickman (R-Bloomington). "The capital funding was included in this year's budget and ensures colleges across the state are able to make necessary maintenance to keep their campuses running smoothly."

Projects at Heartland Community College include replacing the server room air conditioning, resurfacing the parking lot, and other matters.
