Ameren gives back to school's STEM Lab


WARRENSBURG, Ill. (WAND) – A grant from Ameren Illinois will allow students at Warrnesburg-Lathem Elementary School to have access to technology.

The $4,800 grant will go towards a new mobile Chromebook lab for the school Science Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) projects. "We are extremely grateful for Ameren's commitment to supporting their local community," said Principal Laura Anderson. "Ameren's donation will provide additional resources to our students and teachers so that we can enhance student learning."

Previous grants have been used to furnish the current STEM labs with the materials needed for projects and activities. The Chrome books will be used to enhance learning and understand of technology. They hope students will be able to learn engineering in the classroom.

The grant was made possible through the Ameren Cares program.
