Personal grudge ends in shooting

WINDSOR, Ill. (WAND) - A Windsor man is in stable condition after being shot over a personal feud.

On Saturday, at 7:14 p.m. the Windsor Police Department responded to a reports of shots fired in the 1000 block of Indiana Avenue.

Responding officers found a male with gun shot wounds to his lower abdomen. The victim was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital and is in stable condition.

A suspect was identified by an eye witness as Robert A. Fraker, 62, of Windsor. A firearm was recovered in the vicinity of the suspect's location. 

Police believe the motive behind the shooting was a long standing grudge the men had against each other. 

Fraker was transported to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and attempted murder.

Multiple agencies were involved in the investigation including: Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Moultrie County Sheriff's Office, Findlay Police Department and Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police.
