NORMAL -- Head coach Brock Spack made a promise to his team Saturday.
Beat Southern Illinois by at least 35 points, and he'd shave his mustache.
Illinois State (5-1) won by 35 and then some, clobbering the Salukis 51-3 on homecoming. Spack lived up to his word, shaving his mustache off before heading to the postgame press conference.
The Redbirds avenged last year's 42-7 loss to the Salukis, thanks in large part to a career day on the ground for stud running back James Robinson. The Rockford native ran for a career-high 202 yards, and eclipsed the 2,000 yard mark for his career.
Illinois State returns to action next Saturday at No. 1 North Dakota State.
