Posted: Updated:

SHERMAN, Ill. (WAND) - Sherman people have identified two persons of interest in the Halloween candy razor blade incident.

Sherman Police say they purchased multiple packages of disposable razors from a local retail store and broke them apart. The metal object associated with the candy matched one of the disposable blades.

The police conducted more interviews of people associated with the incident. They have two people of interest identified for the incident. There is no reason to believe that the tampered candy was handed out on Halloween nor came from the factory.

Sherman Police are at a point where we will be seeking charges with the State’s Attorney’s Office regarding one of the people of interest. Other avenues and actions are also being pursued as part of the investigation.
