Illini comeback falls short at Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, IN -- Notre Dame held off Illinois 76-74 after Trent Frazier's potential game winning three-pointer rimmed out as time expired.

The Illini fall to 2-5, matching their worst start since 1967.

Aaron Jordan led the way with a career-high 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Giorgi Bezhanishvili poured in a career-high 22 points.
