Taylorville Memorial Hospital getting $221K in state money


TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Taylorville Memorial Hospital is getting more than $221,000 in state funding after the city was hit by an EF-3 tornado this weekend.

The Illinois comptroller is expediting a state payment of $221,594 to the hospital.

Governor Bruce Rauner declared Christian County a state disaster area Monday.

Hundreds of buildings were damaged or destroyed.

The money, which was owed by the state to Taylorville Memorial, was processed Monday.
