Police: Man charged with driving while on drugs


CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) - A Greenup man is facing meth charges after Charleston police said he was driving  while under the influence of drugs.

40-year-old Joshua Monroe was arrested just before 4:30 a.m. Friday after he was stopped on Rt. 130 at 50N Hutton Township.

Police said he showed signs of being under the influence when they gave him a field sobriety test.

He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of methamphetamine.
