Pearl Harbor ceremony to be held in Springfield


SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The 77th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack is being recognized in Springfield.

The Elks Lodge is holding a ceremony Friday from 11 to noon.

The ceremony will mark and remember the men and women who were at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.

It is free and open to the public.

It will include the presentation of a proclamation signed by Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner, a wreath laying in the waters of Lake Springfield, Sangamon County Interveteran Honor Guard presentation and the playing of Taps.
