Champaign priest expected in court to enter plea

A Champaign priest facing felony drug charges is scheduled to be in court later this week to enter a plea.

Father Christopher Layden is accused of selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of church property near the University of Illinois.

University police worked with an informant to track Layden's alleged drug sales in the Newman Center.

The court hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning.
