Possible cases of food poisoning reported at Lincoln's Challenge Academy
A possible case of food poisoning sent 19 students from Lincoln's Challenge Academy in Rantoul to a hospital.
The National Guard runs the school to help high school drop outs get ahead and says the students got sick between Saturday night and Sunday morning. All were treated for flu-like symptoms and are now resting at the school.
While the National Guard looks into what caused the illnesses, it closed the dining hall and called in the health department, which recommended some repairs to dish washing and food preparation equipment.
The guard does not know yet if it is food poisoning but will keep the dining hall closed until it's figured out.
