Cleaning up political corruption in Illinois state government is the task of a panel established by Governor Pat Quinn.
The Illiinois Reform Commission held a public hearing Monday in Springfield, where they heard a testimony on the subject of campaign finance reform. Statistics show that most large donations go to political leaders who have a great of influence on elections.
The panel is trying to find ways to limit the influence of special interest groups on state government.
The commission is scheduled to meet again in Chicago March 5th.
