Baltimore Aircoil Company announce plans to close Paxton plant
At least 200 more people in central Illinois will be losing their jobs this spring.
The Baltimore Aircoil Company in Paxton announced its plans to close. There are 223 employees at the plant.
A company spokesperson said workers are getting severance packages and outplacement services. There may be some opportunities for transfer as the company is consolidating the Paxton plant with its facilities in California and Delaware.
The company expects initial reductions in production to start in May and the plant to shutdown in late June.
