Happy Friday!!! A warm front is draped across the central Plains today which will start to slide into the Midwest over the holiday weekend. The position of the front will be the key to where the precipitation sets up. Right now chances for scattered storms will start to arrive tomorrow afternoon. Storm chances will be possible into Sunday before the front starts to slide into northern Illinois. Temperatures are going to be held down before the front pushed through. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid to upper 60s.
Memorial Day, scattered storms will be possible as the warm front slides through. Highs will warm on the back side of the front topping out in the upper 70s to near 80. A ridge will build into the Midwest allowing the warm lobe of air across the plains to move into the CI. Highs Tuesday through Thursday will warm into the mid to upper 80s! Friday scattered storm chances return as the next storm system arrives to our west. Highs still remain in the low 80s.
Have a great and safe Holiday Weekend!!!
