Charleston police investigating criminal sexual assault

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) – An autopsy revealed a man found unresponsive in a Campustown street died from natural causes.

Citizens who found 28-year-old Robert Chambers early Thursday in the 500 block of West Green Street notified police. Chambers had a leg wound at the time and died at 1:25 a.m. in Carle Foundation Hospital.

Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup says the autopsy showed Chambers' death happened because of pre-existing natural causes and not the wound.

Investigators say final autopsy results are not yet available because more lab results are needed.
