Dedication ceremony for YingYing Zhang garden planned

URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - A dedication ceremony is planned for the YingYing Zhang Garden. 

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Chancellor Robert J. Jones and Kimberlee K. Kidwell, the dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences say students, staff and the public are invited to the ceremony on Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. 

 The garden is located at the corner of Goodwin Avenue and Clark Street outside of Campbell Hall. The site is where YingYing Zhang, a visiting scholar from China was last seen on June 9, 2017. 

Officials working on the case believe Zhang is dead. Brendt Christensen, has been arrested in connection with her presumed death.
