QUINCY, Ill. (WAND) - An "extremely contagious" stomach virus is sweeping across Illinois.
Doctors said the virus started popping up a few weeks ago.
Symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. It lasts for one to two days.
Iowa and Missouri are seeing a lot of cases of the virus as well.
Dehydration is a real concern with the virus, so health officials urge those who come down with it to keep drinking liquids.
They also said hand washing is especially important now to prevent the spread of the illness.
