New study says 3-D mammograms could be better at detecting cancer

ILLINOIS - Getting enough sleep and some exercise can help prevent the risk of suffering a stroke. A new study of more than 200,000 adults shows those who logged seven to eight hours of shut-eye a night had a 25-percent reduced risk of stroke.

Average sleepers reduce their risk even more, if they exercised three to six times a week.

Researchers found people who got too little or too much sleep had an increased risk of suffering a stroke.Those who slept less than 7 hours a night were 22-percent more likely to have a stroke than average sleepers, while those who got more than 8 hours a night were 146-percent more likely to report a stroke.
