Danville police make arrest in connection with December 2015 armed robbery
DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A bicyclist who was shot and killed in 2017 identified his killer before he died, a Danville police officer testified in court Tuesday.

Ollie Williams was found lying in a ditch with a bike next to him the afternoon of July 7, 2017 in the 1400 block of Eastview Ave.

On trial for his murder is 25-year-old Latron Cross.

The News Gazette reports Danville Police Officer Josh Long testified Williams told him Cross shot him.

He said Williams was scared and kept asking for an ambulance to come.

Cross is facing three counts of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors said he shot Williams in retaliation for the 2013 deadly shooting of Cross' sister, Latifah Cross.

Police said Latifah was caught in the cross fire of two rival gangs who were fighting over territory.

Cross now faces between 20 years to life if convicted.
