Police: Drug dealer caught with informant help

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – Police officers say they caught a heroin dealer with the help of an informant.

Police say the person – while watched by officers and wearing a recording device – approached 41-year-old Marquis Lowery and purchased the drugs on March 10, 2016. Officers say the informant came back and turned over 1.1 grams of heroin.

Officers say they arrested Lowery on Tuesday and found over 18.1 grams of marijuana on him.

Lowery faces charges for possession of heroin and cannabis. He has four drug possession convictions on his record.

Lowery’s bond is set at $100,000 in Macon County.
