SAVOY - Savoy officials say the annual Orchard Days festival has been canceled.

According to officials, the festival failed to generate enough revenue or interest.  Savoy trustees said throughout the five years Orchard Days festivals were held, attendance did not match expectations.

Village officials also say the festival cost about $60,000 a year.  The hotel and motel tax was originally supposed to offset that cost, but it only raised about $35,000 a year, leaving the remaining balance to be paid through Savoy's general fund.
