Tazewell County Sheriffs mourn loss of deputy

TAZWELL COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) -  Tazewell County Sheriff’s deputy suddenly passed away after recovering from a surgery.

Sheriff Jeffery Lower announced Deputy Bradley Eccles’ passing on Sunday afternoon.

A Facebook post on the department’s page elaborated that Eccles suffered a cardiac event.

Sheriff Lower reports that Eccles was a 25 year veteran of the office. A fellow Deputy described him as “a great guy,” to Heart of Illinois ABC over the phone.

It is with profound sadness that the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office must announce the
passing of one of our department members. Deputy Bradley Eccles passed away suddenly
and unexpectedly on 12/08/2018 while recovering from surgery at Methodist hospital, he was
51 years old.
Brad was a 25 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office and a respected member of our agency’s
family.
Please keep Brad’s family and friends in your prayers as we all mourn this very difficult loss.
