SPRINGFIELD -- Whether it's two weeks from now against Rochester (and his son Derek), three weeks from now or four weeks from now, Sacred Heart-Griffin head coach Ken Leonard will eventually become the state of Illinois' all-time leader in wins.

You don't expect to find that man hustling around his school's athletic complex before practice, grabbing equipment bags, moving boxes, even lining the field -- but that's what makes Ken Leonard Ken Leonard.

You don't walk away from a conversation with the 35th-year head coach feeling like your life has changed a little bit because of his five state championship rings. It's something much deeper.

In this Hero of the Week profile, Leonard shares about how his faith shaped his journey through the tragedy of losing his wife to cancer last year as well as losing his son in a car accident in 2000.
