Now that the dense fog ha cleared, we turn our attention to the rain passing through our communities today.
That rain stays mainly light, but a few heavier pockets are possible this afternoon as the rain shield spreads from the southwest toward the northeast.
Through the afternoon, the rain shifts into our northern cities with only a few light showers passing through southern spots.
The rain will move east out of our area overnight then the clouds will follow. By dawn Saturday the sky should be mostly clear and that will allow temperatures to drop into the 30s.
By the time the rain wraps up, most of you will have around half an inch or less in your rain gauge.
