URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — Crews from Edge-Scott, Carroll, Eastern Prairie, Savoy, St. Joseph, Arrow Ambulance and the city of Urbana were called to a house fire in the 800 block of Scottswood early Thursday morning.
One family was displaced but no injuries were reported at the scene.
Heavy smoke was showing when crews first arrived to the scene. The crews worked together to extinguish the flames and ventilate the building.
Fire Investigators from the CCSO SIFT Team and the Office of the State Fire Marshal were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
The family was displaced from the home and received assistance from the Red Cross with housing and accommodations.
