DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - One person escaped a raging house fire in Danville.
The call came in around 6:30 Wednesday morning to the 700 block of Edith St.
Half of the house was already engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
The homeowner was able to get out through a window.
One pet did die in the fire.
The house is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
