SPRINGFIELD (WAND) - A car and garage are damaged after a fire early this morning.
The Springfield Fire Department responded to a fire on the 5300 block of West Washington just after 4:50 a.m.
When crews arrived the garage was completely engulfed and a car outside the grage was also in flames.
Crews say the fire had spread to the attic. SPD credits the crews for protecting the house using one of their training tactics.Â
