CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - A truck-tractor semi trailer fire caused traffic to be diverted along I-57. 

State police said the fire happened on I-57 northbound near mile post 219 in Champaign County. They said authorities are detouring traffic onto U.S. Route 45 at exit 212 in Tuscola. 

Troopers want the public to use an alternate route and use due caution if they're traveling in the area.Â
