SPRINGFIELD - Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is teaming up with St. John's Children's Hospital, Bunn, and the H.D. Smith Foundation to present this year's Camp COCO Charity Golf Outing on June 12.

Officials say this event will take place at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield Friday afternoon.  Proceeds from this year's event will go towards the COCO Children's Cancer Fund, which funds Camp COCO.

Camp COCO is a program that enables about 150 children who are battling cancer and blood disorders to spend a week enjoying typical camping activities.  This year's camp will be held at Timber Pointe Outdoor Conference Center from July 5 until July 10.
