CHAMPAIGN – The roster turnover for the Illinois women's basketball team continued Friday.
Chatrice White, who just finished her sophomore season at Illinois, will transfer. According to head coach Matt Bollant, the university granted her release this week.
"We wish her all the best in the future," Bollant said, in a short statement released Friday.
White headlined Illinois' 2014 recruiting class, following a McDonald's All-American high school season in Nebraska.
As a sophomore, White led the Illini with 18.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
She's the 2nd women's basketball player to transfer in the past week, following sophomore Brooke Kissinger, who was also granted her release.
The Illinois women's basketball team finished the 2015-2016 season with a 9-21 record, including a 2-16 mark in the Big Ten conference season.
