SPRINGFIELD - Midwest Charity Horse Show Ribbon Cutting at Illinois State Fairgrounds Tuesday, June 14th. State Fair Director Raymond Poe and Fair Manager Kevin Gordon will be among those for the ribbon cutting at the Coliseum 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Midwest Charity Horse Show runs June 14th to June 18th marking 75 years. Exhibitors attend from more than 26 states and 3 countries. The show features over 700 horses. The show also serves as a fundraiser for Camp COCO sponsored by the Southern Illinois University of Medicine. The Camp serves as a break from hospital and clinic visits for children undergoing treatments for cancer and related blood disorders. The show has raised more than $200,000 for Camp COCO. The Midwest Charity Horse Show times are daily at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Coliseum.
