SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Police Department is seeking information on a hit-and-run incident that left one woman injured.
Springfield police say the incident happened at about 12:45 a.m. on July 23. According to the preliminary investigation, two women were crossing the street in the crosswalk at 11th Street and South Grand Avenue when one was struck by a newer-model white Ford Mustang. The woman was hospitalized, and is recovering from injuries sustained in the incident.
Witnesses say the vehicle had black stripes along the top of the hood and trunk, as well as a yellow or orange registration plate. If you have any information regarding this hit-and-run, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (217) 788-8427.
