EFFINGHAM COUNTY - A semi crashed into a guard rail and caught fire.
Illinois State Police say at 2:40 p.m. a Semi going northbound on Interstate 57 in Effingham County at Mile Post 163 ran off the road to the right and struck a guard rail and caught fire. The driver of the semi identified as 42 year old Anthony Bohn, of Virginia, was taken to HSHS Saint Anthony's Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Traffic on I-57 and I-70 was rerouted for more than 2 hours.
Bohn was cited for improper lane usage. The condition of Bohn was not released.
