Cash stolen in gunpoint theft at Casey's

BETHANY, Ill. (WAND) – The search is on for a man accused of stealing from a Casey’s store at gunpoint.

Police say the suspect showed a handgun on Thursday night at Casey’s in Bethany, located at 383 IL-121, and stole cash. The suspect then left and moved west toward Subway.

Officers are describing the person as white and between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10. He had on “large motorcycle-type goggles”, police say, and wore a black Carhart jacket with a black hoodie under it. The description says the person also had on dark blue jeans that are faded on the front and back of each leg.
