URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - Carle Health is partnering with Eastern Illinois Foodbank to distribute food to families this holiday season.
Carle Health is sponsoring EIF’s Foodmobile route in southern Vermilion County this month. Food has been donated by Carle Health and Health Alliance™ employees during their annual Turkey Toss.
Every year, Carle Health and Health Alliance™ provide a turkey, ham, or fruit basket to each employee, with the choice to “toss” it back and donate it to EIF.
This year, employees donated more than 2,100 turkeys, hams, and fruit baskets to the foodbank.
Holiday groceries will be distributed at Foodmobile stop in Georgetown Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the First Church of Christ, 503 N. Main St.
