CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Illinois Fighting Illini are set to face Western Illinois at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Stadium. 

Illinois Athletics released its parking advisory ahead of the season opener. 

Single-game parking will be available in the large grass lot in Research Park off Oak Street at 7 a.m., and there will also be single-game parking in Research Park and Veterinary Medicine beginning at 5 p.m.

All game day parking purchases are cashless and can be accessed through the Fighting Illini mobile app.  

Vehicles are not allowed inside Grange Grove, which will open at 7 a.m. Friday and will stay open until one hour after the game ends. 

Pass holders in Lots 31, 32, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39, 42, 45, 46 and 47 can park in their selected lots beginning at 7 a.m. Friday. 

Street closure times will vary for the game:

  • Kirby Avenue will be closed between First Street and Fourth Street at noon.
  • First Street between Kirby Avenue and Irwin Drive will close at noon.
  • Peabody Drive between First Street and Fourth Street will close at noon.
  • Fourth Street will be closed between Kirby Avenue and Peabody Drive at noon. 
  • Kirby Avenue will be closed at Oak Street at 4 p.m.
  • St. Mary's Road will be closed between Oak Street and First Street at 4 p.m.
  • Pennsylvania Avenue between Fourth Street and Sixth Street will close at 4 p.m., although there will still be access to the Lot 15 parking structure.
