Max the boa constrictor from the Scovill Zoo slithers into the WAND studios

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Max the boa constrictor from the Scovill Zoo visited the WAND news studio on October 22.

Max is 15 years old. Boa constrictors can live between 30 to 40 years.

He is on exhibit at the zoo.

Boa constrictors are native to Central and South America and eat rodents, birds, lizards, and even small monkeys.

The Scovill Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
